Terminology standards and interoperability
Amy Sheide is a clinical informaticist with the Healthcare Data Dictionary (HDD) team at 3M Health Information System. She has been a Registered Nurse for eight years with background and expertise is in standard terminologies, mapping and data standardization. Her focus is on leveraging health information technology (HIT) to establish best practice, clinical quality data capture and health information exchange. Recognizing the value of HIT, Amy transitioned from full time clinical practice and joined 3M in 2010. She continues working in the ICU to stay current with clinical practice where she functions in leadership roles such as charge nurse and Unit Preceptor.
