Prem Devanbu

Distinguished research professor, UC Davis

Prem Devanbu is on the faculty of the computer science department at the University of California at Davis. He works in empirical software engineering, and software engineering applications of machine learning, and co-direct the DECAL Lab with Vladimir Filkov. He started off in industrial software development, first at Perkin-Elmer. Prem then worked at Bell Labs, first in software development and then in research. He has won several awards for his contributions to the field, including the ACM SIGSOFT Outstanding Research Award in 2021 and Alexander von Humboldt Research Award in 2022.
