Jean Stoner, CPC is the product owner for computer-assisted coding (CAC) content for outpatient and professional services for 3M Health Information Systems. Jean has been the lead “nerd whisperer” bridging the gap between medical coders, computational linguists and software engineers; first with CodeRyte, and now with 3M Health Information Systems. Prior to that, she was a medical coding and documentation educator and auditor with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a physician practice consultant. Jean was the American Academy of Professional Coders “Coder of the Year” in 2003.
She lives and works in Silver Spring, Maryland where you’ll see her chasing her pugs and playing the violin.
