Dave Fee, MBA, is a consultant on the outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) for 3M Health Information Systems. He is responsible for understanding government regulations and outpatient care markets to assist in identifying customer needs. He works with product marketing and technical development teams to create 3M software for outpatient care, including APC classification, reimbursement and decision support products. Dave has been involved with outpatient prospective payment since Iowa Medicaid implemented Ambulatory Patient Groups in 1994. He has been a speaker at national conferences, including AHIMA, HFMA and the American College of Healthcare Executives, and has published articles on the topics of APCs, outpatient prospective payment and related subjects in a number of industry publications.
