Jean Jones, CPC
Coding analyst
Jean Jones, CPC, PCS-P, CCS-P, has been with 3M Health Information Systems since 2011. Jean serves as a Senior Coding Analyst for the CodeAssist product at 3M and is also a part of 3M’s Women’s Forum.
Jean has over 25 years of coding and billing expertise, working in a variety of nationally recognized organizations, such as Massachusetts General Hospital and Atrius Health. Jean has been instrumental in the development and implementation of coding curriculum’s for community colleges, career schools, and large physician organizations. She has presented on a variety of coding topics across the country, including presenting on Supportive Documentation for Quality Measures in Radiology at the 2019 AAPC Conference. Jean has also been very involved with lean initiatives with her previous employer and has a keen interest for process improvement and efficiencies.
Jean has three coding certifications from three different organizations as well as served in leadership positions for the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is well versed in evaluation and management guidelines as she has trained and audited professionals for over 10 years. As an expert in the field, in 2004, Jean started a successful consulting firm that she enjoyed immensely.
