Kallol Mahata, MS

Co-Founder and COO, Patient Care Intervention Center

Kallol Mahata is the COO at PCIC – Houston and runs operations at the organization. He has over 14 years of experience in software design, development and project management and has designed and built multiple enterprise level, multi-tier systems from the ground up.

Kallol started his work in designing and improving Electronic Medical Record Systems used for street outreach as part of his graduate school research work. This was part of a collaboration between the University of Texas, Baylor College of Medicine, and Healthcare for the Homeless – Houston. He has continued working on this project and is one of the founding members of PCIC. He has co-authored multiple publications and presented at numerous conferences.

Kallol received his MS in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Texas, his thesis addressed developing agile Electronic Medical Record systems. He received the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Award for Outstanding Service and Impact at the university. He worked with Process Data Control Corporation as a software solutions architect for 10 years, consulting with fortune 500 oil and gas and manufacturing companies. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering.
