Richard Wolniewicz is division scientist, NLP Advanced Technology for 3M, where he oversees natural language processing and machine learning technologies for the company’s medical coding and documentation software. Before joining 3M, Richard was senior director of the machine learning group at J.D. Power & Associates, where he managed research, development, and operations of NLP systems for market research using social media. His career spans more than 20 years, with extensive experience in software development, machine learning technology, and real-time content optimization at organizations such as Amazon.com, Umbria Corporation, and CSG Systems. Richard holds an MBA and a PhD in Computer Science.
