Barbara Zellerino, RN, MHA, is the Subject Matter Expert for Enhanced Natural Language Processing (eNLP) for 3M Health Information Systems (HIS). She is responsible for workflow and clinical application of eNLP products. Previously, she was the National Director of Workflow and Content for 3M HIS. Prior to joining 3M, Barbara’s career encompassed more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare professional in the acute care environment. A Registered Nurse, her nursing experience included managing a cardiovascular/open heart unit and over 10 years as the Director of Quality for a 350-bed hospital facility. While director of quality, she developed international quality indicators for clinical genetics, with her research eventually published research. Barbara earned a Nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a Bachelors and Masters in Healthcare Administration from University of Southern Indiana.
